By means of CNC milling, Prototypes can produce prototypes in a variety of materials: steel, aluminum, plastic and resins. Starting with a block of the chosen material, it is shaped and machined by 3-, 4- and 5-axis milling processes.

The advantages of CNC machining

The special machining performed by Prototypes gives the finished prototype greater structural integrity, as the part is shaped from a compact block of material, and a high surface finish due to the smoothness of the machined faces. The final part will also be accurate because it will include 3D mechanical design details (holes, threads, bearing seats, seal seats, all fully functional and within specified tolerances).

  1. 3D file of the object in STP or IGES format representative of the part including machining;
  2. Material in which the prototype would be desired;
  3. If specific tolerances are provided, also send machining table;
