But when it comes to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.prototypes.it\/le-tecnologie-di-stampa-3d-per-la-prototipazione\/\">3D printing<\/a> applied to production<\/strong>\u2014as in the case of cores and molds intended for foundry\u2014every single element of the additive process must be monitored, measured, and validated. <\/p>\n\n<p>In our new video, we show the <strong>behind-the-scenes of the laboratory tests<\/strong> we conduct for each 3D production. It&#8217;s invisible work, but essential to ensure that the printed parts meet the precision and performance standards required by the industry. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Qualification Tests are Needed in Industrial 3d Printing<\/h3>\n\n<p>Unlike traditional molding technologies, where hardware ensures shape and repeatability, <strong>3D printing operates on more variable parameters<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prototypes.it\/materiali-per-la-stampa-3d\/\">porous or compressible materials<\/a>, free geometries, temperatures not always perfectly uniform. For this reason, each print batch requires a targeted validation system through a grid of technical tests. <\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p>The video shows how, during the printing of cores for foundry, <strong>specific test samples<\/strong> are integrated for laboratory testing. Any deviation from one of the acceptable parameters entails <strong>corrective actions<\/strong>, often complex, requiring iterative interventions. <\/p>\n\n<p>Just as a cyclist makes continuous micro-movements to stay balanced, <strong>keeping a 3D printing machine aligned with specifications<\/strong> requires continuous data collection and constant calibration.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Industrial Reliability for Next-Generation Castings<br\/><\/h3>\n\n<p>This control system allows Prototypes to offer <strong>reliable additive solutions even for production<\/strong>, not just for prototyping.
