Quenched and tempered steels are materials suitable for creating high-performance functional prototypes, thanks to their ability to combine high mechanical strength and good machinability. They are distinguished by the possibility of performing quenching and tempering heat treatments that improve hardness and toughness.

Among the most commonly used alloys are:

  • C40: carbon steel with excellent machinability, used for the production of shafts, gears, bearings, and camshafts. It is resistant to plastic deformation and mechanical stress, while maintaining good toughness and abrasion resistance.
  • 39NiCrMo15: high-performance alloy steel, chosen for applications in the aerospace and automotive sectors. It ensures high tensile strength, fatigue resistance, and high-temperature performance, and is ideal for components that must maintain stability even under intense stress.

Thanks to their dimensional stability and versatility of use, quenched and tempered steels represent a reliable solution for the construction of complex mechanical prototypes, in sectors where precision and robustness are essential.

Stainless Steel Prototypes X2CrNi1811

This stainless steel variant, similar to 304 but with lower carbon content, is particularly suitable for creating stainless steel prototypes intended for highly demanding sectors such as chemical, petrochemical, and food industries. The X2CrNi1811 alloy offers excellent corrosion resistance, good toughness even at low temperatures and resistance to hot oxidation.

Thanks to its properties, it is ideal for prototypes that must maintain dimensional precision and performance even under mechanical stress or prolonged exposure to fluids and high temperatures.
