Aluminum GAlSi7

The aluminum-silicon alloy GAlSi7 is distinguished by:

High elongation, which ensures resistance to deformation and excellent fatigue behavior
Good castability, ideal for producing complex parts through casting
Excellent machinability after heat treatment

Recommended treatments for GAlSi7 alloy

In the as-cast state, the alloy is relatively soft, making machining more complex. To achieve the best performance, T6 heat treatment is recommended, which increases its hardness, strength and dimensional stability. After treatment, GAlSi7 expresses its full potential, becoming one of the highest-performing light alloys.
