GAlSi7 is the favorite alloy for automotive industry applications.
This alloy has among its main characteristics an extremely important elongation.
For this reason it is the alloy of choice for all those structural and safety components used in the manufacture of parts for cars, motorcycles and other applications where a significant elastic range of mechanical response is required.
Requiring almost certainly supplative treatments such as T6 for optimal use since in the molten state it is relatively soft, which could make processing complex.
After heat treatment, the alloy expresses its full potential, proving to be one of the best performing materials in the light alloy scene.
